  • The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Cape Fear Valley 

* Coping with COVID Virtual Workshop, May 26, 2:30 pm – 4 pm. In partnership with the American Red Cross, a variety of topics related to improving quality of life during the pandemic and dealing with unique stressors such as multi-tasking, sleep, finding a new normal, juggling work and family, etc. will be covered. * Mindfulness and Meditation Virtual Series, Wednesdays at 1 pm – 2 pm. May 20 (Mindfulness and Pain), May 27 (Mindfulness and Holistic Movements.   • U.S. Army Child & Youth Services, Fort Bragg…

* Babysitters Course: The objective of the babysitting course is to familiarize youth 13 years and older with the responsibilities of babysitting and give them the skills and techniques needed to become a competent babysitter.

— June 9-11, 2020/June 29-July 1, 2020 (Registration opens May 28th)

— July 7-9, 2020/July 28-30, 2020 (Registration opens June 25th)

–August 4-6, 2020/August 11-13, 2020 (Registration opens July 22nd)

The course will be held at the Eagle Annex Building from 0830-1630. Limited space. Youth will need to bring a lunch.

* Resilience Training: The objective of the resiliency training is to build resiliency within the youth by helping them to develop a variety of coping, problem solving, goal setting, and positive thinking skills.

  • USO of North Carolina

Sandhills Coffee Chat (May 7, June 4, July 2, August 6), 10 am USO of North Carolina, Fort Bragg Center, Bldg. 4-2843, Normandy Drive, Fort Bragg, NC 28310. Community Connections Coffee Chats are a monthly program made possible by Community Coffee, for military spouses offered by USO of North Carolina.

  • The Armed Services YMCA Food Pantry is open Monday – Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, to any active duty military member, military spouse, or veteran in need. Donated items can be dropped off at the North Commissary. Donation bins are located just beyond the checkout. You can also donate money upon checkout which will be used to purchase non-perishable items. The ASYMCA is located in building 2-2411, Jackson & Woodruff Street (next to Bragg n Barn Thrift Shop).

 

 

  • Military OneSource – Military & Family Life Counseling. “Video and Telephone Counseling Now Available!” Free and confidential non-medical counseling is available to service members, Department of Defense expeditionary civilians, their families and survivors.
