Military Family & Youth Liaison Announcements:

  • The Holiday Hearts tree is up in Wing A, 3rd floor, in the Soldier Support Center with lots of hearts, representing military families in the Fort Bragg community who are going through financial hardship this holiday season. The deadline to provide an unwrapped gift is December 6. They are open Monday – Friday, 0800-1700 (closed November 28 & 29). Please go by, get a heart and help someone experience a merry holiday season.

 

  • Women In The Armed Services Exhibit, November 1st – December 31st, 2019. Cumberland County Public Library & The Public Information Center, HQ.   • The Armed Services YMCA Food Pantry is open Monday – Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, to any active duty military member, military spouse, or veteran in need. Donated items can be dropped off at the North Commissary. Donation bins are located just beyond the checkout. You can also donate money upon checkout which will be used to purchase non-perishable items. The ASYMCA is located in building 2-2411, Jackson & Woodruff Streets (next to Bragg n Barn Thrift Shop).

 

  • Trees for Troops 2019, December 6, 8 am to 10 am, at Smith Lake Recreation. Free Christmas trees will be given out to active duty families E-5 and below with a voucher. Vouchers will be available for pick up at Leisure Travel beginning December 2nd for the first 350 families.

 

  • Express: Pajama Party at Rick’s Place, 5572 Shanandoah Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304. December 7, 2019, 3:30 pm to 7 pm. For more information call 910.444.1743 or email info@rhfnow.org.

 

  • Army Community Service (ACS) Classes:

** MeTime (Enhance Communication, Explore Personality Traits, Improve Personal Relationships, Resiliency During Crisis and       Grief, Time Management). December 17, 2019, 8:30 am – 3 pm, at the Soldier Support Center, 3rd floor. Call (910) 396-2382 to register.

** Building Connections, “Join our discussion…You’ll leave with great tips…to help build and sustain strong, healthy relationships!” December 18, 2019, 9 – 11:30 am, at the Soldier Support Center, 3rd floor. Call (910) 396-5521 to register.

 

  • American Red Cross Pharmacy Technician (PhTP) Program: American Red Cross, in partnership with Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), will be offering a pharmacy technician training opportunity to military family members at Fort Bragg, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Camp Lejeune & Marine Corp Air Station Cherry Point.
